I see the suffering in your eyes
and the way you create disguise,
as though it is not wise
to show the world how you truly feel...
I see the madness in the streets,
the weight of so many defeats,
the organizing for peace—
with the uncertainty if we will ever know...
I see the heartbeat in your chest,
the way you are trying your very best,
constantly in question: is this all a test?
An answer only our spirit can show...
I see the ignorance out loud,
how we are conditioned to blend with the crowd,
and yet—
we are weaving our own way,
in hopes that all can be more than okay...
I see the hurt in our eyes,
the doubt in our minds,
but my dear ones, I also see courage.
I see strength.
To each of you, I bow deeply with thanks.
I see conformity, and I see it shrink—
because we are opening.
We are expanding.
Our hearts, our minds,
learning to think:
If they come for them, they come for me.
I see. Oh, how I see…
And still, I seek.
With eyes unclouded, with a heart unshaken,
with a mind wide open to the truth that must be known,
the justice that must be made,
the love that must lead us home…
It is no fable, no far-off fear—
it is here.
The unraveling, the reckoning, the remembering
that the leaders of this land are not aligned,
not inspired,
not intentional about each and all of us being well.
And so, we have work to do.
And yet—
I celebrate the ways we are doing it.
The ways we refuse to be bystanders.
The ways we hold multiple truths
without losing sight of the one that matters most:
Love must lead.
I must protect my well-being, and so must you.
And we must show up—
in numbers, in networks, in the name of a future
that does not deny our humanity,
but honors it in full.
Every day under this administration feels like a thousand years,
but I refuse to let it steal my vision.
Every single second, every single breath
is an opportunity to see,
to focus,
to foster a love so deep
that no delusion of separation can seep through.
My tolerance for the intolerable is quickly diminishing—
and I am good with that.
It is a clearing.
A decluttering of all that clouds my core,
my values, my virtues, my vision.
And the thing that irks me most about the MAGA mindset—
this worldview built on hate, ignorance, and control—
is how small it is.
How limited.
How fear-bound and fragile.
And yet, if they choose to shrink themselves,
to live in a world of exclusion,
that is their choice.
But why do they insist on taking away mine?
Why is their fear a weapon against my freedom?
Why does their smallness demand my shrinking?
I will not fold myself into the tight corners of their fear.
I will not be bound by their blind allegiance to a past
that was never just, never whole, never free.
I have met my own fears.
I have walked through my own fragmentation.
And I will not get lost in the chaos they create.
We have a world to build,
a future to embody,
a love to lead with.
They may keep trying to divide,
but we—
we keep rising.
We keep rising to the occasion.
We keep rising with awareness.
We keep rising in the direction of unity,
liberation,
and peace—
sweet and sacred peace.
Reflection Questions to Open Eyes, Minds, and Hearts
What am I resisting seeing right now? Where do I turn away, and why?
Who is suffering because of the systems I benefit from? How can I show up differently?
When was the last time I challenged a belief I was raised with? What changed when I did?
Where do I feel numbness or fatigue in the face of injustice? What would help me stay engaged?
What does true liberation look like—not just for me, but for all?
So much wisdom ♥️ “Love must lead” - yes! 🙌🏼
