No Kings, Just Queens: A Practice + A Protest
An Invitation into Practice & Peaceful Protest | Tomorrow, Saturday, June 14th at the Hive & Grove Park in Midland
Hey hey y’all,
as if things weren’t already freaky and fearful enough this Friday the 13th —
we’re here, watching history unfold, watching rights erode, watching power try to crown itself again.
But this is not the time to shrink.
This is not the time to get small or silent.
This is the time to reclaim your voice, your vigilance, and the victory we’re really after —
peace, justice, and the protection of our democracy.
So much is at stake.
But so much is also being stirred, summoned, and seen.
This is a call-in — to the work, the community, and the dedication that is the heart of yoga.
Because yoga is not just stretching.
It’s not about bypassing or numbing.
It is — and always has been — a path of awareness, truth, and liberation.
✨ Saturday Practice at The Hive
Join me on Saturday, June 14th at 9:00 AM for our weekly vinyasa flow at The Hive — but know this week holds a deeper current.
This isn’t just a class. It’s a container.
A space to move through fear, to breathe into truth, and to remember our shared power as people, as practitioners, as protectors of the possible.

Come be part of the collective body reclaiming what it means to care — to truly, radically, and unapologetically care. For each other. For the earth. For the future.
We’ll root into breath. We’ll move with intention.
We’ll make space for truth and resistance to live in the same body as love.
🪧 And Then — Take it to the Streets
After practice, I invite you to join the “No Kings, Just Queens” Rally — a national day of action, and a local chance to show up loud, loving, and aligned.
📍 Starts at Grove Park in Midland
🕒 3PM March | 4PM Rally @ Central Park Bandshell
🎤 Speakers include AG Dana Nessel, Dr. Pamela Pugh, Brandell Williams
🎶 Drag queens, choirs, family fun, protest art, and JOY
This is part of a coordinated global movement rejecting fascism, rejecting authoritarian rule, rejecting the violent ideologies that are threatening our neighbors and communities — especially LGBTQ+ and trans youth, immigrants, people of color, and anyone who dares to live and love freely.
And we’re not just resisting.
We’re rising — with glitter and grit, with grace and gospel, with drums and drag and deep care. I hope to see you there!
🌿 This is all yoga.
The movement. The march. The meditation. The mobilization.
This is how we practice.
This is how we show up for each other.
This is how we say: Not on our watch.
So bring your mat.
Bring your sign.
Bring your sacred, wild, willing heart, humanity, and Spirit.
Let your breath be your protest.
Let your love be your legacy.
Let this be a day we remember: we are not powerless. We are the power.
