one week later…

checking in and getting clear with you

Hello, dear ones,

Can you believe it? We've lived through one week of reckoning with the election results. I don’t know about you, but I’m in a battle of balancing reality with a lowercase r and Reality with a capital R. The lowercase r reality tells me I live among humans who have yet to really do their work, to truly transform their wounds, and to move beyond fear. The capital R Reality, however, tells me we are here to do the brave work of healing—of knowing our own humanity and our lack of it—and returning to the truest of truths: we are all in this together, and together (and apart) we impact all, and all impacts us. So, how are we going to use it?

I don’t have the answers. I don’t know what will be. But I do feel a need to prioritize our readiness and our ground. This is the time where we must put the power into our hands—into our routines and rituals, into our day-to-day lives. The outer world needs our inner worlds to be well. To know what it is to be cared for. To know what is needed within ourselves so we can bravely and better share that with the world.

May we use this time to transform the very things within us that are ready to take on the next phase and shape of this story that is ours and that is us.

In today’s check-in, I share some thoughts on where I am right now: the grief that is omnipresent in all I do, as well as the hope, focus, and clarity I’m going to need to see through and beyond all the fog that clouds my head and suffocates my heart.

I also share an awareness practice, hoping to return us to our wholeness and ground us into our readiness—the ability to be present, powerful, and clear.

I hope this finds you with support, and I hope you remember and reclaim just how worthy you are of that support—and so are all others.

What are you willing to give to yourself to greet these times?

What are you going to prioritize to ensure you know and have a relationship with peace?

Transformation is both a process and a practice. When I was in Costa Rica, I was greeted by so many butterflies— including this one pictured, which was the size of a bird! It was just me and this butterfly on the beach, and it felt like it was sharing with me the wisdom of how free we can be, and how wide our wings can expand and grow.

The process from caterpillar to butterfly requires trust, endurance, patience, and much discomfort. Yet it is in the midst of this phase—the struggle—that the wings begin to take shape. What if these times are offering us the same guidance?

What if... what if...

And as always,

I love you, I love you, I love you.

Please, take the best care of you!
