Hey sweet and sacred ones,
Thank you for being here, exactly as you are. For me, I feel frozen, saddened, and consumed with sorrow. At the same time, I am deeply aware that this is all because I care — deeply. I care for you, for myself, for the planet, for our peace, and for our fullest, freest potential.
When I learned the election results this morning, I immediately felt grief, and I still do. I had such hope, my friends — hope for a new chapter, a new season for us as a democratic society with diverse stories, needs, and backgrounds. Perhaps my hope was naïve, or maybe not, but it’s still there.
One thing I mentioned multiple times yesterday is that, regardless of the outcome, we would still be here, and we would still have each other. Now, more than ever, it's time to practice and prioritize that truth.
In this check-in, I invite us to connect with our bodies and what’s present within. I invite us to consider how we can, more than ever, care for our bodies, our spirits, and our emotions — to care deeply.
I also invite us to celebrate whatever feels uncomfortable or unpleasant, as those are powerful indicators of our care, our love, and our hope for something better.
For now, let’s meet this moment. From here, we can create the momentum we need to keep our breath flowing and our bodies showing up with all they know, feel, and love.
Finally, I invite you to a virtual gathering tonight at 7pm EST, for anyone who seeks community — a space to see faces, feel heard, and recognize this moment together. If you'd like to join, please email me at kerikenneya8@gmail.com
With love and care,
keri
